Unfinished Projects and Stars

Hi, I am Tali... and i do have a blog... but it is one of my many many projects that i gave up... so is not worth it to go there... ( and it is in portuguese...)

Just now i had a Zillion ideas to write here, but just as i logged in and saw the empty white box, as when you see a white paper sheet, all of them just disappear...

Then, because of my introduction, i thought about writing about all the things i gave up... you know, the craft/sewing projects that you want to do, buy the materials, plan how you gonna make it... but then you just lose motivation, or buy it already done, or even stop to need that thing, and never finish the project...

And I have so many of that:
- Organizing my books by theme: just never even started
- Organizing my pictures from the trip i made in 2009 and 2010: already started and stopped 3 times
- Making a cute plush hat for winter: i did buy the plush... but it was already getting warm...
- De-clutter the house: we started well, managed to get rid of wardrobes, book shelves but then some small stuff stayed for a while in the hallway... and more stuff got together with that... and well, they all are still there...
And now, with me sadly moving out and back to Brazil, we have (by "we" i mean my ex-boyfriend) a really messy hallway with all sort of things... unfortunately, for him, i will not take any of it with me...

( I am not good at editing pics... but you can see:
- a painting that i never liked so we took it down from the wall
- a broken suitcase full of old computer games
- two monitors and a lot of things that he got back from his previous office
- light purple, white and cookie-monster-blue plush fabrics
- i think there are some pillows in that white bag, but not sure...
- his 3-seconds tent, that is there because we couldn't find a better place
- a mirror that we don't like and we don't have a place to put
- along with a map, some cheap sweets, bottles and some empty bags...)

Once we had so much stuff planned, undone or partially started that we decided to make a To Do list... it has 52 items... we only finished like 20 and forgot about it...

Well... thinking of all that stuff i gave up... and a lot more that i didn't list here... made me feel a little bit bad... (ok, lately everything and anything can make me feel bad, and sad...) but then i was walking around the flat and i saw some stuff that i normally control myself to take a really long time to start it, because once i start is REALLY hard to stop... Origami!!

And theses babies are for sure my masterpiece... i took like 2 weeks to do a bit more than what you can see in the picture... some people got some of them as gifts, some of them just slipped out of my hand and got wet...

My stars
(sorry about the bad picture... )

Some of them are really tiny... like this one:

But the process of doing it is always the same...  only the size of the paper changes...

I also know how to make a big ball/star that is made of 30 tiny pieces... and a cute snowflake starting from a hexagon shaped paper...

It is funny how people either love it and think it is awesome... or they think it is just stupid to spend time doing it...

The biggest difference between the projects that i never finish and the lil star origamis, or even the more complicated ones, is that it is not hard to start them... it is just a piece of colorful paper... who can get scared of that?? But the big mess in the hallway... well... i wouldn't like to have to clean it... ;D

Thanks for reading!
