Happiness in the mail

I couldn't hold back but had to take pictures to show off my new treasures to all of you! I already told you that a birthday parcel arrived in the mail today:

Inside were this beautiful card, four different fabrics and a book. I will write more about the book on Sunday because it fits with our Ralph Waldo Emerson project! :o)

Aren't they just darling? I love them all!
Martin and Sabrina had given me a little form to fill in for my birthday so that they would know what kind of fabric I like. I had to write down my favourite color, what kind of prints I liked, if I preferred polyester or cotton, etc.
It's so funny that even when you give such detailed instructions, even if the things that you get in the end fit all of them perfectly, they are still such a surprise.

Now I'm trying to keep myself from browsing the web for ideas of what to make with these goodies.
I've been wanting to sew a maxi skirt for a while and I think the purple and yellow would be perfect for a big hippy skirt. They look so Indian together!
Here's a few of my favourites so far from pinterest:

The flower print is very playful and would be great for a twirly skirt, maybe there's even enough fabric for two...
And I can't help but think about this dress when I look at the farm print. It might not be enough fabric, but maybe I'll find something similar but more simple...
How about this:

What do you think?  Do you have other ideas?
I'd love to hear them! :o)

I love the fabric of the horses and cows! So cute! :) I definitely see that being made into the last dress.

I also see the floral fabric made into the last dress too! It'd be so cute. :)

I like the idea of a maxi skirt with orange and purple. That's super Indian in color scheme. Would that be tiers of color?

Thanks for stopping by the other day! I love the green skirt. The purple or yellow fabric would look great in that design.
