A weekend in the countryside

On our very first weekend here in Glarus, Lia, Hendryk and Martin came visiting from Zürich and Basel. It was so awesome that they all took the long train ride to see us here. I was really excited to show them our new home.
When Lia and Hendryk arrived on Saturday it was still a bit grey but warm and reasonably dry, so we took a little walk up to the waterfall together with Felix, our housemate.

Lia and Martin are actually much better photographers than me and played around with their cameras all the time, so I'm hoping there will be mor professional pictures soon. ;o)

Two more of our flatmates - Jojo and Manuka - arrived with another guest - a girl named Sofie - on Saturday night. Martin joined us just in time for a fabulous brunch in front of the house on Sunday morning.
Don't be fooled by the grumpy faces of the guys - I think they're just taking their task of trying the zopf that I made really serious. You can see on Sofies face that we did actually have some fun!

Oh hey, do you know how to find out if there's an elephant in your fridge? - You just have to check if there's little footprints in your butter! ^^

The weather stayed brilliant all day and after a refreshing waterfall - shower (*brrr*) we headed off to explore our surroundings.

We walked along the river and snooped around an old factory. We took a lot of pictures and most of us got a bit sunburnt. >.<
We said "Grüezi" about a thousand times and found many many may beetles.

I hope you had a great weekend! And don't worry, I'll show and tell you more of our little village, the waterfall and the factory soon, it's all cooking!
First of all though, there's a new Monday Friend waiting for you this evening, so check back later to discover another great friend from the Web!

Happy Monday!

You made me want to walk around that very countryside and say "Gruezi" too. Not that I have a clue what it means!
