Hello and happy Monday everyone!
Wow, what a great Sunday! I left the computer turned off all day and did no work at all - didn't even think about it and instead did a lot of other fun stuff outside. I think it's been a long while since that happened.
I talked to Trev about the feeling that this life is your only chance that makes me feel so bad about a lot of things in my life (mostly stuff I haven't done/achieved).
He had an interesting new perspective to share: He said he doesn't feel like his life is the most important thing. He rather sees it as part of a river and that a part of him will live on in his children and grandchildren, as they go about and add their share to the difference in the world.
I don't know if that really solves the problem, but I thought I'd share it with you, since it made me realise that there are other ways of thinking of the whole thing.
I'll leave you with that food for thought. ;o)
See you tonight with another fabulous Monday friend!

I have been thinking about those kind of things lately too.... life is full of so much that doesn't matter. Are you feeling peaceful where you are living at the moment? I have been thinking about needing lots of space and fields around me to raise the kids and be happy - but who knows, we might get there and I still feel - mmm - you know that feeling - it's hard to describe! xoxox Love to you xx Rach
i feel very peaceful here. actually, I feel much better than I have for a long time, just because I finally moved away from Zurich. I realise now that I was getting much too cosy with it and it really feels good to have overcome these feelings and having made a step into another way of living.
I think I know what you're talking about... it just never feels like it is enough? or 'the exactly right thing'? that's how I feel often if I've achieved something... I don't know if seeking souls can ever overcome these feelings though... maybe we just should be grateful we always have something to work towards?
Some days this feels right and then other days it kills me :oP
I think that's a really interesting way to think about it...I feel similar to that as well. I think you should be proud of your life and be aware to try to live it to the fullest you can.
I think the greatest contribution you can make to this world is helping others. Whether that's by raising good, respectful children or going into medicine or having a blog that helps some girl from the U.S. (cough, me) lol
I really think it all matters and it's all connected. You shouldn't feel bad about your life because to me this isn't the only chance we have to affect people. I'm a person of faith so I'm all over the place. Lol :)
I like Trev's philosophy about being a small drop in the river and "that a part of him will live on in his children and grandchildren, as they go about and add their share to the difference in the world."
I appreciate your sharing that. It's beautiful and made my day.
